When Levi's® Stadium opened in 2014, authorities hoped to provide the most technologically advanced sports venue in the world, offering a new wireless, paperless, 21st century venue where everything from instant replay to food orders could be accessed from any digital device, from any seat.
Leading edge technology throughout was one of the "three pillars" that guided the vision and the reality of Levi's® Stadium, home of the big game this coming February 7th. The best possible fan experience and environmental sustainability were the other two. Violin is proud to be a part of this vision.

Along with the 27,000 sq. ft. green roof, and 20,000 sq. ft. of solar panels installed around the stadium, The San Francisco 49ers decided to leverage Violin Systems's innovative7300 Flash Storage Platform to preserve the team's 70 years of history.

The 49ers Museum at Levi's® Stadium has digitized vast amounts of historical photos and added metadata so they're easily searchable ensuring they're safely protected, and will remain available and accessible for many decades to come. The Violin Systems 7300 Flash Storage Platform operating in the San Francisco 49ers data center at Levi's® Stadium consumes one tenth the power, one tenth the floor space of traditional storage solutions while accelerating critical applications by up to a factor of ten.

We have a short video and case study which highlights the features that make Levi's® Stadium a special place and the features that the San Francisco 49ers rely on to protect their valuable digital assets. Check them out and register to win a football signed by 49ers legend Jerry Rice, and enjoy the Game.
